Jordan Degs is an American composer, producer, guitarist, and writer. Jordan writes and produces music in a variety of genres, with an emphasis on rock and pop. She prefers to write music for other people to perform rather than for herself so that she can highlight and elevate people’s unique stories and talents and bring their visions into the world’s musical landscape.

Jordan is passionate about communicating and connecting with other musicians and music lovers and channels her undergraduate background in critical analysis into her social media videos breaking down songs and trends in the music industry.  She is currently writing and self-producing original music. This music will be collaboration-heavy to showcase her personal composition and production style while also fitting with her mission to utilize music as a universal language to unite people cross-culturally to address and solve societal barriers and traumas. Jordan’s latest release is a grunge-rock song she wrote and produced titled “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest.” The song is a commentary on mental, physical, literal entrapment in the cuckoo’s nest of society. It is available on all platforms.

Currently, Jordan serves as the Assistant Producer for a music performance startup, providing logistical support and creating marketing content for the planning and delivery of shows. She and the rest of the team are working on developing a new one-act musical.

In October 2021, Jordan published her first book, In Between Dreams: A Pandemic Dream Study and Art Project. In early 2021, 27 participants from around the world kept dream logs for 32 days to record their subconscious experiences. At the end of the 32 days, participants had the opportunity to create poetry and art based on their dreams. This book is the culmination of that artistic experiment. In December 2020, Jordan produced, arranged, engineered, mixed, and mastered the band Amber Mountain Highway’s second holiday covers EP, which is available on all platforms under the title “Christmas Between the Mountains.”

Jordan holds a dual bachelor’s degree in Performing Arts: Music and English/Communications: Writing.
